Proffice acquires physician staffing company in Norway
Proffice Care has acquired the Norwegian health care staffing company Medifact A/S. Medifact are specialised in qualified physician staffing in Norway and Sweden. With the acquisition of the Norwegian company Proffice Care, who already has operations in Sweden and Denmark, will strengthen its position on the Nordic market.

Medifact, with its focus on quality, fits well within the Proffice group. The new acquisition further strengthens Proffice Care’s position as one of the leading health care staffing companies in the Nordic region through a geographically broader operation. At the same time it will favour the Nordic cooperation with existing operations in Sweden and Denmark.

Medifact started in Oslo 1999 by Dr Ulf Söderberg. The company has had a strong growth since the start-up and the turnover 2006 was approx MNOK 64 with an operating margin of approx 10%. Medifact are specialised in temporary staffing of physicians and has a strong position within general health care and psychiatry. Today, Medifact primarily operates in the Middle and South of Sweden and in Norway. Possession date will be September 1. The acquisition is expected to give a positive contribution to Proffice’s profitability already this year. Together with the acquisition, Proffice Care’s turnover is approx MSEK 400 on a yearly basis. The company will operate in Norway, Sweden and Denmark.
The purchase sum is divided in one fixed sum and one additional purchase sum. The fixed amount is approx MNOK 35. The additional purchase sum which is maximised to MNOK 20, based on the operating profit, will be paid in June 2008.
